What is it?
Inert sludges or slurries containing hazardous substances can be; soils that are likely to be contaminated however no testing has been completed, sludges and slurries from industrial sources that are otherwise unclassified
How we treat T130-H
Similar treatment process to T130-NH and N120 with additional water treatment phases to remove any contaminates that may be present
- Sedimentation and Filtration - Sedimentation and filtration processes separate the solid soil particles from the water, allowing for the reuse or proper disposal of each component.
- Dewatering - We remove the excess water from the excavated material, reducing the volume of waste that needs to be managed. This can be achieved through mechanical processes or natural drying methods.
- pH Adjustment - Adjusting the pH of non-destructive digging wastes may be needed, especially if the PH levels are outside regulatory limits. PH adjustment helps ensure that the waste is not overly acidic, minimising potential environmental impacts.
- Sludge Treatment and Disposal - Sludge created from the primary and secondary treatment processes is treated separately. The treated sludge can be used for beneficial purposes such as land application or disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.
